The Golf Wang x Converse Chuck 70 Hi “Tri-Panel” is yet another colorful offering produced by Tyler, the Creator’s Golf Wang streetwear brand and Converse. Inspiration seems to strike Tyler rather easily, as the distinct color block of this Chuck 70 Hi is inspired by none other than a varsity jacket from a Golf Wang seasonal collection. The homage to classic racing aesthetics is achieved through three panels (the tongue, medial, and outward facing panel) finished off in colorful yellow, red, blue, and light blue canvas. The rapper’s cheeky Golf Wang insignia is embroidered on the outward facing side and Converse’s timeless Chuck Taylor All Star detailing appears on the medial panel. The Chuck 70 is equipped with a slightly chunkier cream vulcanized sole than standard issue Chuck Taylor models. Release date: September 14, 2020.
